Hay Day is a cherished annual celebration in Inola, Oklahoma, renowned for its world-class hay.
Join us September 5th & 6th at Fleming Park in Inola, Oklahoma for one of the most beloved hometown festivals in the region! Hay Day kicks off with our Opening Ceremony on Friday at 5:00 PM, and the fun continues all weekend long — including the big parade on Saturday morning at 10:00 AM.
For over 60 years, Hay Day has celebrated Inola’s rich agricultural roots and world-class hay with a weekend full of parades, rodeos, livestock shows, carnival rides, craft vendors, food trucks, live entertainment, and good old-fashioned fun for the whole family.
A Glimpse into History
The inaugural Hay Day in 1960 began as a simple idea among locals who wanted to create a unique celebration, similar to Broken Arrow's Rooster Day. This idea quickly evolved, positioning Inola as the "Hay Capital of the World." The festival has since become a symbol of the town's rich agricultural heritage, featuring events like hay bale throwing, frog jumping, and sack races, alongside more modern attractions.
Community & Tradition
Inola, located in Rogers County, is a close-knit community known for its friendly and welcoming residents. The town's cafes, volunteer fire department, and public library are just a few examples of the strong community spirit that defines Inola. This sense of togetherness is vividly reflected in the Hay Day festivities, where locals and visitors alike gather to celebrate and enjoy each other's company.
